Long Beach Camerata Singers celebrates long history of Thornton alumni leadership
The Long Beach Camerata Singers, directed by USC Thornton alum Robert Istad (DMA ‘06), will be celebrating its 50th anniversary during the 2015-2016 season. Thornton DMA student Tammi Alderman currently serves as Assistant Director of the ensemble, while retired Thornton professor Dr. David Wilson served as Artistic Director from 1983 to 2005.
The ensemble will present a performance of Bach’s Magnificat on April 12 as part of the Long Beach Bach Festival.
