NEA grants to fund new and continued work by USC Thornton faculty and alumni
The latest round of grants awarded by the National Endowment for the Arts will fuel new and continued work by USC Thornton faculty and alumni.
The LA Master Chorale, led by artistic director and USC Thornton Keyboard Studies alum Grant Gershon (BM ’85), was awarded funding for a series of contemporary choral music concerts, as well as various community events. The upcoming 2020-2021 season will be Gershon’s 20th season as the chorale’s Kiki & David Gindler Artistic Director.
The Pacific Symphony was awarded funding to support a new work by Composition faculty member Frank Ticheli, in celebration of Carl St.Clair, the symphony’s music director of 30 years and Artistic Leader and Principal Conductor of the USC Thornton Orchestras.
