Noreen Green profiled in Milken Archive spotlight series
Choral & Sacred Music alum Noreen Green (DMA ’91) was recently featured in a documentary video feature by the Milken Archive of Jewish Music. The feature explores Green’s journey into music, from her childhood to her studies at USC Thornton, and how she has navigated her decades-long career.
Green is the founder and director of the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony, an orchestral ensemble dedicated to showcasing the work of Jewish composers and musicians. Green and her husband decided to start the symphony as their way of contributing to the Los Angeles Jewish community. Through the symphony, Green coordinates an educational program called “A Patchwork of Cultures” that invites local elementary school students to learn about Jewish music and experience an orchestra concert.
