Peter Esrkine featured on the cover of “JAZZed” magazine

“One of the most celebrated jazz drummers of the past half century,” Peter Erskine, USC Thornton Jazz Studies professor and director of Drumset Studies, was featured as the cover story for the October issue of JAZZed magazine, one of the premier resources for jazz educators and music education advocacy for the past decade. In the feature, Erskine shared his passions for music education and “music that means something.” His advice on a musician’s journey: “Play what you’d like to hear.”
