A Day in the Life: Kate Crellin

Choral Music major Kate Crellin talks about a typical day in her life at USC.

“My schedule is a little crazy, but I actually love everything I do,” says Kate Crellin, who graduates this week from USC with degrees in Choral Music from USC Thornton and Law, History and Culture from USC Dornsife. Her day is busy, starting on campus at 8:00 AM and not leaving until 11:00 PM, but she takes full advantage of everything USC offers its students.

Crellin decided to attend USC because it allowed her to explore all of her interests. “USC is the perfect place,” she said, “because I am able to study law, classical music and jazz music at a high level in the same place.”

Crellin is headed to Cambridge University’s Queens’ College in the fall to earn a master’s degree in Choral Music/Conducting. It’s entirely possible she will be the only person in her cohort that has more free time as a graduate student.
