In honor of the upcoming Alice & Eleonore Schoenfeld International String Competition, we’re sharing this 1950s photo of the beloved USC Thornton professors. This year’s competition will be held in Harbin, China. Applications are due June 9, 2014.
The competition aims to enrich the culture of music by recognizing and promoting highly gifted young musicians. USC Thornton Strings faculty Suli Xue serves as the competition’s artistic advisor, and Dean Robert Cutietta will be an honored guest at the event.
