Szu-Yun (Chloe) Chiu awarded position with Santa Barbara Symphony

Current USC Thornton Strings student Szu-Yun (Chloe) Chiu (GCRT, ’15) won a position as section violinist in the Santa Barbara Symphony. Additionally, Chiu, who is a student of Glenn Dicterow, USC Thornton Robert Mann Endowed Chair in Strings and Chamber Music, and her string quartet – consisting of fellow USC Thornton grads Hwi-Eun Kim, Stella Cho and Andrew Tang – performed at the French-American Chamber Music Festival in Missillac, France. More than 2600 people attended or participated in the 15th annual festival, which consisted of six concerts and a “picnic” style musical performance.
