Veronika Krausas wins composition competition

Composition faculty Veronika Krausas won the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra Composition Competition, for Analemma for 11 Musicians, at Indiana State University’s 47th Contemporary Music Festival. Krausas also gave a lecture about her music to the students at Indiana State University.


USC alumnus wins composition competition

October 31, 2013

Thornton alumnus Troy Armstrong recently won the Marilyn K. Glick Young Composers Competition at the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra for his piece, Supercell. Part of his reward includes subscription performances in April 2014 with ISO. Armstrong is the third Thornton student in four years to win the competition.

USC Thornton Composition DMA receives major commission
