Thornton faculty and alumni join MusiCares relief benefit

USC Thornton faculty members and alumni are among the many artists and composers contributing their talents to “Soundtrack of Our Lives: A Celebration for the Film & TV Music Community,” an online benefit show for the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund.

Screen Scoring alum Jongnic Bontemps (GCRT ’12), Composition alumni Austin Wintory (BM ’07) and Michael Abels (BM ’84), and Screen Scoring faculty member Laura Karpman are listed among an extensive roster celebrities and music professionals who have joined the cause.

The event will stream live on June 25 at 12:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on YouTube, Rolling StoneVariety, and the GRAMMY Awards’ social media channels, as well as on soundtracklives.com.
