Two alumni make the move to entertainment law

Two alumni from USC Thornton’s Music Industry program, Grayson Jones ’12 and Matthew Jay Warren ’00, were selected for key positions in entertainment law. Jones joined the Music Row Law Office of Russell A. Jones Jr. as an associate attorney, and Warren was appointed head of Clinton & Clinton’s new sports entertainment department.

Jones focuses on entertainment and intellectual property law at the Nashville law firm. She previously worked in creative licensing and strategic marketing at Columbia Records Creative Agency in Los Angeles, where she focused on creative collaborations between artists and brands, film, television, and video game licensing, and content integrations.

Warren’s practice concentrates on a wide variety of music, IP, licensing, and media dealings in the spectrum of the sports and entertainment industry, including drafting and negotiating publishing, touring, merchandising, production, and songwriting agreements. The firm will also counsel on litigation avoidance, rights acquisitions, copyright and trademark strategies, and talent procurement.
