USC Thornton Popular Music students open for The Beach Boys

USC Thornton Popular Music students Rees Finley (junior), Divya Maus (senior), Anna Schulze (senior), Austin Smith (sophomore), and Jimmy Villaflor (junior) were selected to perform their original music as opening acts for The Beach Boys’ October 25th concert at Bovard Auditorium. These students opened the sold-out concert with five songs related to the style or themes of the Beach Boys’ music. The songs were chosen from over 30 submissions by Thornton singer-songwriters.
