USC Thornton senior Stefani Feldman awarded Fulbright Scholarship

Clarinetist Stefani Feldman (BM ’15) has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship. A student of USC Thornton faculty Yehuda Gilad and a USC Trustee Scholarship recipient, Feldman will travel to Oslo, Norway, to study with Björn Nyman, principal clarinetist of the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, at the Norwegian Academy of Music for the 2015-2016 academic year.

Feldman has performed concertos with many ensembles, including the Torrance Symphony, Palisades Symphony, Southern Youth Music Festival’s Symphony, and Brentwood-Westwood Symphony. Her solo awards include First Grand Prize in the Music Center Spotlight Awards, first place in the American Fine Arts Festival International Concerto Competition, and first prize in Pacific Regional International Summer Music Academy’s Concerto Competition.
