Veronika Krausas’s opera The Mortal Thoughts of Lady Macbeth reviewed in the Los Angeles Times

USC Thornton faculty composer Veronika Krausas received a glowing review in the Los Angeles Times for her opera The Mortal Thoughts of Lady Macbeth after a sold out weekend of performances at Fais Do Do. The opera, which premiered at the New York City Opera’s VOX Festival in 2008, was awarded a special commendation at the 2009 Vienna Masterworks/Nancy Van de Vate International Composition Prize for Opera and the Best Opera Award at its performance during the San Francisco Fresh Voices Festival in 2009.” Read the article
