Cynthia Munzer presents vocal workshop with Music Center

Vocal Arts & Opera faculty member Cynthia Munzer recently presented a day-long vocal master class at the Los Angeles Music Center as part of the Center’s Spotlight Academy, an annual free day of performing arts workshops for students, parents and teachers. The Academy invites arts leaders, such as Broadway star Karen Morrow, jazz icon Arturo Sandoval, former New York City Ballet soloist Zippora Karz, to present engaging public programs. As a star of the Metropolitan Opera, Munzer has been an enthusiastic participant in the initiative for several years.

Munzer has been on the road in recent weeks, judging for the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in Vancouver, Florida, and Idaho, and recently presented masterclasses at both Idaho State University and Rollins College. Munzer has sung over 20 roles in 223 performances with the Met Opera, both at Lincoln Center and on tour throughout the U.S. and Japan, in addition to her successful performance career with many top international opera companies.
