Troy Quinn leads Florida concerts with Glenn Dicterow

Troy Quinn (DMA ’14), a graduate of the USC Thornton Choral & Sacred Music program and a member of the school’s Conducting faculty, will lead two concerts with the Venice Symphony Orchestra of Venice, Florida, on May 4th and 5th, 2018. The concerts, themed “A Tribute to Music in Cinema,” will feature Thornton faculty member and former concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic, Glenn Dicterow, performing notable movie themes by composer and honorable USC alumnus, John Williams. Dicterow will perform the theme from Schindler’s List, as well as music from the film Far and Away.

Quinn, who currently serves as music director of the Juneau Symphony in Alaska and the Ocean State Symphony Orchestra of Rhode Island, is a finalist for the position with the Venice Symphony Orchestra, concluding the ensemble’s “Finding Maestro” concert season.
